AIM hosts the first virtual Independent Music Awards

Winners include Sarathy Korwar & more.

Sarathy Korwar was among winners at last night’s first ever virtual ceremony for the AIM Independent Music Awards. He picked up the Best Independent Album Award for his brilliant second release, More Arriving, beating some great competition from Brooke Bentham, Laura Marling, The Ninth Wave & more.

Other winners from the night include Flying Lotus, Anderson .Paak,  FKA twigs and Moses Boyd. The stream also included performances from Little Simz, AJ Tracey, Arlo Parks, a surprise performance from Erasure and two tributes to the great Tony Allen.
