Stella Donnelly releases brand-new album

‘Flood’ is available to stream now

It’s been three long years since we received new material from the Australian singer-songwriter Stella Donnelly. When Donnelly released her debut studio album ‘Beware of the Dogs’ she made her mark in the industry through sweet melodic tunes with real punchy-yet-playful lyrics. Flood is in a way a continuation of that, lending itself to hard-hitting topics such as the point of view of a child whose family is getting evicted on the first song of the album titled ‘Lungs’.

Donnelly self-describes ‘Flood’ as coming from “hard moments of introspection”, taking fans into a direction that is both familiar and entirely different. Familiarity is felt in terms of the record providing vivid imagery in its lyrics, but a divergence is seen through the introduction of new characters, perspectives, and fresh themes that Donnelly takes an interest in and explores so well.

To accompany this gorgeous “record of rediscovery”, three music videos and one visualizer have since been released, make sure to check those out here.

We cannot wait to see the album being performed live and see Donnelly do what she does best: perform with vivacity, warmth and a touch of humour. You won’t want to miss this one, grab your tickets for the November tour here!
