Ahead of his first shows in the UK, Simon De Wit AKA BLANKS speaks to Kili Presents about his dream collab!

Hey Simon! We really appreciate you tkaing the time out of your busy schedule to chat to us today! Your latest single "What You Got (Ayo)  recently came out and we’re huge fans of it! How has it been for you to see the great, positive reaction to the release?

“It is so great to have a response like that to a track!! Even more so because this track felt like something new and different for me. So seeing that people love the track and the evolution of the sound is even more special!”

Describe for us in three words the vibe of one of your gigs.

“Happy place, energetic, inspiring.”

As an emerging artist, what do you want listeners to get from your music?

“I am all about the vibe. I want people to make memories with my music. I want them to feel the songs (via lyrics or sound) and make them feel something. That can be happy, sad, heard, exciting, melancholic, anything.”

If you could pick one artist or band to feature on one of your songs, who would it be and why?

“Probably Tame Impala or Dayglow. They are 2 of my favourite artist and I just find myself going back to their music throughout the years. I want to impact people in the same way they did for me.”

If you could take any band or artist on tour with you, whether they’re still going or not, who would it be and why?

“Jon Bellion or Twenty One Pilots, just because I would LOVE to see them live haha!! Also because I think TØP has one of the best connections with their fan base and I would love to experience that, and Jon Bellion because he’s my favorite artist of all time.”
